Lin Daye conducts the programme which includes excerpts from Tan Dun’s Oscar-winning film score Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, two contrasting pieces for violin from nineteenth-century France, and two of Respighi’s spectacular pieces for large orchestra, Fountains of Rome and Pines of Rome. Cellist Jiapeng Nie and violinist Tamsin Waley-Cohen join the orchestra.
