Kala The Arts returns with an outstanding parade and dance performance for Basingstoke’s Diwali!

A colourful river of light will flow through Basingstoke on Friday 8 November as Kala brings you a spectacular Diwali programme.  

Programme of events

From 4pm

Meet at Market Place for live Bollywood music with Pankhuri Verma, followed by a parade at 6pm through Basingstoke with giant puppets, musicians, performers and over one hundred decorated lanterns.

6pm

The parade will start at the Top of the Town at 6pm, making out way to the Ampitheatre outside Vue Festival Place.

6.45pm

Here, the audience will be treated to a free show of amazing South Asian dance and music by both national, local and community groups, including FatBoyz and of course, Kala The Arts professional artists.
