Dying Matters

No one likes talking about death – and if we do, we hedge around it using euphemisms and humour. But it is unavoidable and for those left behind, dealing with the admin after losing a loved one can add to the grief and trauma.

That’s why Patricia Fox – founder of FIGUREFOX – has organised an event ‘Let’s Talk about Death and Dying’ as part of Hospice UK’s Dying Matters Awareness Week. Patricia’s event will be hosted on Saturday 9th May from 11am-4pm at Festival Place, Upper Level and is open to all members of the public to start breaking down the stigma around talking about death, dying and grief. 

Patricia is very active in the Basingstoke community, having created the Dying Matters in Basingstoke networking event, and offering her services pro bono to several charities, including HomeStart where she serves as a trustee and treasurer.
