The Hallé Orchestra comes to The Anvil for a truly romantic concert conducted by Sir Mark Elder, whose tenure as Hallé Music Director reaches its grand finale.

The programme acknowledges a core Hallé tradition of English music on the orchestra’s first ever visit to The Anvil, and includes George Butterworth’s gentle and reflective orchestral piece, Rhapsody: A Shropshire Lad,  which is imbued with the spirit of English folk song and the countryside.
