Hauntings
Hauntings at The Haymarket on Sunday 1 November is a spellbinding evening of three tales of the supernatural written by two of the world’s greatest writers of ghost stories, E.F. Benson and M.R. James.
Benson's Naboth’s Vineyard is the tale of just deserts being meted out to an unscrupulous lawyer, and The Hanging of Alfred Wadham, where forces of the devil test a man of faith to his limits, and James' Oh, Whistle and I’ll Come to You, My Lad, tells the story of a medieval spirit that terrorises an arrogant professor.
With masterful storytelling from the award-winning actor and master of solo performance Gerard Logan, Hauntings will transport you to a world of invisible, but terrifyingly present, spirits.
The production is directed by Gareth Armstrong, with music by Simon Slater.
Tickets are priced at £25. Under 25s and f/t students £20. Contact the Anvil Arts box office on 01256 844244 or visit https://www.anvilarts.org.uk/events/hauntings.
