This October half-term, enjoy three frightfully fun days of entertainment! Join us for a selection spooktacular activities, perfect for children aged 3 to 13. Little monsters can enjoy magical moments, creative crafts, and eerie adventures - all free of charge.

🎃 Wednesday 28 October - Cross Street 🎃

• Lightsaber skills with Little Musketeers - Pick up a lightsaber and discover the basics of movement, balance and control in this fun, interactive 10-minute activity, with sessions running every 10 minutes.

• Pop Up Play Village - Explore, pretend and play in the witches’ supermarket, spooky café and dinosaur themed role play areas.

• Slime Bar with Scratchbuilt - Mix and customise a unique slime with sparkles, beads and colourful extras.
  Make a flying with or bat with Fun Science - Make a flying witch or bat and watch it soar through the air using the power of your own breath.  

🎃 Thursday 29 October - Market Place 🎃

• Wicked wand and spell book craft with Artful Kids - Get creative as you decorate a wicked wand and craft a spell book filled with magical Halloween-inspired designs.

• Create a sock puppet with Scratchbuilt - Design and decorate your own sock puppet, using craft materials to bring your character to life.

• Build a pirate ship with Inventors and Makers - Build your own pirate ship, then put it to the test and see how well it floats on water.

• BVA Pumpkin Trail in War Memorial Park - Collect your free map on the day from The Orchard and follow the trail to find the pumpkins in War Memorial Park, with final map collection at 2pm.    

🎃 Friday 30 October - Market Place 🎃

• Frankenstein’s Monster science demonstration with Genie Lab - Enjoy a spooky science demonstration packed with monster-themed reactions, before making your own googly-eye slime to take home. Sessions at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm.

• Spooky crafts with Rachel Davis and Jacky Purtill - Get creative with a range of Halloween-themed crafts, including clay pumpkins, bats and ghosts, egg box spiders, haunted house decorations, wish wands and scratch art.

• Screen-print your own Trick or Treat bag with Berkshire Printmakers - Create a personalised Trick or Treat bag by screen-printing your own design and adding decorations.
