His Worshipful Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane invites you to attend the Mayor’s Charity Concert in aid of the Mayor’s Charity Appeal at the Anvil concert hall, Basingstoke. The Concert returns with a programme of music which includes something for everyone.

This year's event will celebrate the key anniversaries of the 250^th year of Jane Austen within the Borough and in nearby Steventon, as well as commemorate VE Day 80^th Anniversary. These themes reflect the Mayor's principle of fostering community cohesion by bringing people together to enhance the wellbeing of all.

The concert will showcase the huge variety and diversity of music making opportunities. A taster of who will be showing are, Basingstoke Festival of Choirs, Basingstoke Gospel Choir, Hatch Warren Infant School and Heritage Light Orchestra. All Compered by David Allard.

This is a great opportunity to support the Mayor's Charity Appeal focusing this year on the North Hampshire Prostate Cancer Support Group, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation.
