An advertising slogan for gin in the early 18th century, and whilst the distilling and sale of gin was more controlled by the time of Jane’s birth in 1775, it still wasn’t the healthiest of times!
Join former curator Jenny Stevens for a light-hearted look at food and drink in the Regency period, whilst also looking at the differences of the diets between rich and poor as the industrial revolution impacted everyone’s lives.
