Accessibility Information
Top of the Town:
The area is fully paved, making it suitable for most wheelchairs, mobility scooters and buggies.
The trail begins at the bottom of Wote Street, near Festival Place. The route follows an incline up the street, with another installation partway along and the Market Place installation at the top.
Benches are available at various points throughout the Top of the Town.
Accessible toilets are available with a radar key at Castons Yard carpark and Festival Place.
War Memorial Park:
The main entrance to War Memorial Park is a 0.1 mile (160 metre) walk from the London Street installation.
The installations follow a circular path, which is mostly tarmac, making it suitable for wheelchair, mobility scooter and buggie users. There is a section through woodland where the path is compacted ground (please see below image) Wheelchair users/ buggies used this path as part of the Let’s Glow trail last year but this is dependent on the type of wheelchair/buggy. In wet weather, the woodland area of the trail can become muddy. Visitors can see the installations around the tarmac path and choose to avoid the woodland area of the trail if they wish.
The path includes moderate and slight slopes and follows a one-way system for visitor flow.
Benches are located throughout the park for resting.
An accessible toilet is located near the midpoint of the light-walk route, situated at the John Arlott Pavilion next to the Crossborough Hill car park.
More accessibility details can be found in the AccessAble guide (War Memorial Park | AccessAble)

Trail Accessibility Features
Let’s Glow is a light trail, which means all the installations are light-based and the event takes place in the evening so it will be dark outside.
The trail is wheelchair-friendly with interactive points positioned at an accessible height.
Installations will be illuminated continuously between 6pm and 9pm. As there are no scheduled performances, visitors can explore the trail at their own pace.
The space is open and not fenced, so you can come and go whenever you like. A one-way system will be in place in War Memorial Park to help manage the flow of people.
You can choose which installations you want to visit, you don’t need to see everything if you prefer not to.
The atmosphere is relaxed, and we want visitors to feel comfortable throughout their visit.
Some installations may include soundscapes, and the trail can get a little busy at times. You are welcome to bring anything that helps you feel more at ease, such as ear defenders or headphones.
Queues may form at the interactive installations, but stewards will be on hand to make sure everyone has a chance to take part.
At the main entrance to War Memorial Park, there will be a short barriered queue to help ease congestion. You are welcome to bring toys, tablets, or anything else that makes waiting more comfortable. You can leave and rejoin the queue at any time. If there is no queue when you arrive, you can walk straight into the trail.
Sensory-friendly experience:
You will find: A visually immersive, family-friendly light spectacle.
You will NOT find: Loud noises, strobe lights, water features, smoke, fire or haze machines.
Trail Map and Assistance:
A trail map is available online and will be available to collect from a steward wearing a pink high-vis vest at the event.
Let’s Glow stewards in pink high-vis vests will be available throughout the event to assist visitors.
