Where to shop 

Browse or shop online from the comfort of your own home on The Borough Basket, a directory of local businesses, makers and creators selling fantastic Christmas gifts.  

The popular Malls Christmas market is back and open daily until 24 December with lots of opportunities to purchase gifts, recharge with a traditional hog roast from Gourmet Grill or donuts. 

In Festival Place, there are a fantastic selection of independent businesses to explore. Grab a bite to eat at these festive pop-ups, which can be found outside by Superdrug, Tesco and Metro Bank. These include mouth-watering cheeses at The Cheese Hut, sausage selections at The German Bratwurst Hut and the opportunity to build your own Belgian Waffle at the Waffle Hut.

You will also find shops in Overton, Chineham Shopping Centre and Viables Craft Centre.

For the creatives in the family, Hampshire School of Jewellery offer jewellery making classes from their Basingstoke studio, including one-off introductory classes such as ring making and using Silver Clay as well as longer courses. They have classes available to book into March next year but also offer gift vouchers as the perfect present if you are not sure when they will be free or which class they would prefer. For a truly unique and memorable experience Whitchurch Silk Mill is offering the chance to purchase an individual weaving experience, involving a private tour and the chance to speak to the specialist weavers/tacklers.
