There is a wealth of support available for local businesses and our business support for growth applies to all businesses, no matter how big or small. We are here to provide the right support to meet your specific needs and help your business reach the next stage in its journey.

Our tailored business support could include:

• Introductions to the wider business community in Basingstoke, helping to build valuable networks and partnerships that can drive your business forward and strengthen your connection to the local community. 

• Our team is on hand to assist you in relocating to a larger premises for your growing business and ensuring a smooth transition by identifying suitable locations across the borough which meet the requirements your business needs. You may also find information on local property agents and commercial property. 

• We will work closely with our internal council teams to help with your planning, rating, and licensing requirements, ensuring every aspect of your growth is effectively managed and aligned with regulatory standards. 

• We will support you to identify and gain access to funding opportunities for businesses both locally and nationally, finding the most appropriate opportunities for your business to grow and development. 

• We can connect you to the Hampshire Growth Hub, run by Hampshire County Council and funded by the Department for Business and Trade. The growth hub provides tailored and expert business support across Hampshire, to help your business grow and reach its full potential. The hub’s services aim to address barriers to growth, including access to investment and talent, and for businesses that are not ‘investor ready’ to help them prepare for the next stage of their business.

• We can connect you to colleges and organisations help you get the right talent or skills for your workforce, and if you need support to navigate through the apprenticeship process our Employment and Skills service has all the information to help you solve your apprenticeship needs.
