Countdown to Christmas with festive foodie specials in Basingstoke and Deane

Tis’ the season to be jolly, from festive feasts to afternoon tea, you’ll be sure to discover special menus offering food and seasonal drinks this Christmas in Basingstoke and Deane. We’ve made a list (and checked it twice!) of our top festive foodie finds on the lead up to Christmas!

Sit down meals and formal gatherings

If you have some time between your Christmas shopping for a relaxing afternoon tea with family or friends check out Hampshire Court Hotel. Their afternoon tea comes complete with sandwiches, freshly baked cakes, scones with plenty of jam and cream and your choice of tea or coffee.

Celebrate the season with friends or colleagues at Silchester Farm (pictured) with a Festive Feast, an evening of delicious shared dishes, seasonal drinks, cosy fires and festive cheer both inside the warm barns and around the terrace fire pits.

Christmas is a time for sharing and Miller and Carter offer sharing experiences over the festive period including a steak and lobster sharing menu and Festive Sunday sharing board experience.

Relaxed get togethers

For a relaxed festive meal in the run up to Christmas either with friends, family or colleagues you’ll find plenty of options. Pubs across the borough including Bartons Mill, The Holly Blue, The White Hart, The Portsmouth Arms and The Calleva Arms have festive celebration menus. Take a look at their websites for menus and availability.

'Gin’gle all the way with a festive afternoon tea at Bombay Sapphire Distillery, the perfect way to unwind with homemade treats and traditional seasonal sandwiches made from locally sourced ingredients served with your favourite hot drink and a seasonal gin cocktail.

Expect cosy barn vibes at Graze & Gather with Silchester Farm, join them under the Dutch Barn for either a relaxed lunchtime with the Graze food truck and bar or book for an evening of sizzling grills and handcrafted cocktails.

New for 2025, cosy up in The Vyne’s cosy Brewhouse tea-room for a Christmas lunch (pictured). Enjoy food, a hot drink and mince pie. Normal admission applies. 

Dummer Down Brewery are hosting a yule fire-feast, six-courses of fire-kissed Christmas goodness!

Drop-in or takeaway at The Parlour Tearoom in Viables. They offer a range of homemade cakes and afternoon tea and have a range of hot chocolates available to warm your hands and bellies.

In Basingstoke town centre, immerse yourself in the flavors of India at Elai who are offering a Christmas special delight menu. In Festival Place, experience Owambe Christmas with Afrizi, a three-course Nigerian feast with mocktails and cocktails available for a festive cheers. Several restaurants in Festival Square offer special Christmas menus including Cosy Club, Cote Brasserie, Ask Italian and Pizza Express.

Step into the sparkle of the season with special festive bits, hot drinks and tipples to mark the season.

Visit Silchester Farm for an enchanting evening of festive singalongs and handcrafted seasonal Christmas cocktails.

Warm up in The Vyne’s Brewhouse tea-room with a soup, pumpkin spiced latte or hot chocolate to accompany a delicious-home baked cake or fluffy scone.

The Street Bakeshop based in Old Basing and Lychpit is about real honest food, good coffee and delicious sourdough breads, pastries and cakes using only the best ingredients. On the lead up to Christmas look out for mince pies, cruffins, Christmas cake and festive doughnut specials on Thursdays!

It’s soup season at Kudos Coffee in Whitchuch, expect rotating flavours daily with different breads on the side!

In Basingstoke town centre, if you’re looking to grab something ‘on-the-go’ whilst on a gift shopping spree, don’t miss the Christmas market in The Malls Shopping Centre which starts on Friday 14 November 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026 where you will find a hot food, sweet treats and festive hot chocolate.
